Day 8 – Christmas Ornaments

There are so many different types and prices of Christmas ornaments, you can buy them from any supermarket, high street shops or online, but making your own ornaments are really fun and cools, plus you can have something unique in your tree that you can use it every year.

This year I have made some paper decorations (4th Dec post), I have up-dated some old ones and I have bought some from the high street for my Christmas tree, but today I will show you a selection of beautiful ornaments from my Pinterest board Christmas Ornaments.

If you need more inspiration take a look on my Pinterest board.

Day 7 – Christmas table centrepiece

Table centrepieces will be the attraction on Christmas dinner, so make sure you have one that will make a good statement, but at the same time not overwhelm your table with a huge arrangement that will block people from talking, seeing and interacting with another on opposite side. I have selected a few that I have liked most from my Pinterest board. By the way, Pinterest is the best place online to find ideas for everything, including everything for Christmas.

Day 6 – Window Christmas decor

Don’t forget your windows, you can display beautiful decoration on the window panel, window sill or hanged from the window frames that you can be sure to make your home to stand out from the rest of your neighbourhood. Find more inspiration on my Pinterest board

Day 5 – Staircase decoration

On day 5, I have selected some beautiful ideas for staircase decoration. I hope this will inspire you to deck the halls and get into the spirit of the season.

Day 4 – Paper ornaments

Today I will show you how to make your own paper ornaments for your Christmas tree. I have used my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine, but if you don’t have one you can cut it by hand.

First you will need a template for your ornament, mine I’ve got from the by Lori Whitlock for less than 50p. Then you choose your paper of a minimum 180gsm weight with the colour scheme of your choice, try to use at least three different patterns to make the ornaments more interesting.

If you don’t have a cutting machine you can get many templates online and cut by hand with scissors or craft knife.

Then you start glueing together each part, if you prefer you can watch the video of Lori Whitlock on youtube on how to assemble this 3d ornaments, quite easy.

I hope you have enjoyed this easy to make paper ornaments that you can hang on your tree or around the house.
